FARMINGTON -- A 23-year-old man is facing felony charges after police say he tried to run over an officer.
Andrew Ryan Kilpatrick was arrested Monday after Clinton police received a call from a homeowner stating someone was breaking into his home, said Clinton Police Lt. Dave Valentine.
When officers arrived, Kilpatrick got into his car and tried to leave, but got stuck on the icy road.
He then tried to use his car to hit the officer, Valentine said.
Kilpatrick was booked into Davis County Jail on Monday.
He appeared in 2nd District Court in Farmington on Wednesday.
He is charged with second-degree felony burglary, third-degree felony aggravated assault, third-degree felony obtaining multiple identity documents of another person, third-degree felony failure to stop at the command of police and a class B misdemeanor theft.
A felony arraignment hearing is set for Jan. 10.
