Police: Two break into home, crash party

OGDEN — Two men were arrested during a New Year’s Eve party after police say they broke into a home after they weren’t let into the festivities.

Ricky Nava, 27, and Edgar Henderson, 28, were booked into Weber County Jail on Saturday on suspicion of aggravated burglary and intoxication.

Lt. Danielle Croyle said police were called after the two men went to a party at a home near the 2700 block of Harrison Boulevard. The homeowner did not know the two and asked them to leave.

“The victim was having people over at his house, and these two show up with beer in hand, ready to participate,” she said.

“But nobody knows who they are, and they tell them to leave. They leave, then they come back mad, and that’s when the disturbance happens.”

Croyle said the men entered the home and a fight ensued. One of the two brandished a knife during the altercation, which heightened the charges to aggravated robbery.

Croyle said the homeowner appeared to have been stabbed by the knife, but he didn’t need any medical treatment.
