Repeat drunk driver arrested again in Orem

OREM -- Police say a 27-year-old Springville man is facing his seventh drunk driving charge in 10 years after his arrest in a car that weaved all over the road in Orem.

Orem police Sgt. Craig Martinez says Kirk Reed Bradford suffered an eye injury hitting his head on a jailhouse wall after scuffling with police and paramedics taking a blood sample following the arrest late last Thursday. Police allege Bradford was too intoxicated to stand.

Martinez told the Daily Herald of Provo that no injuries or property damage were reported due to Bradford's driving.

Bradford was taken to the Utah County Jail and held on $10,000 bail pending a court appearance on a felony drunken driving with prior convictions charge, plus six misdemeanor drug, alcohol and suspended driver's license charges.
