CLEARFIELD -- Police are asking for the public's help in locating a woman they say disappeared under suspicious circumstances.
Police believe Lorena Nevarez Garcia, 42, left home near 250 N. Main St. in Clearfield at 7:45 a.m. Friday to drop off a job application at the Freeport Center, but she never arrived.
Officer Jeromy Jackson said such behavior was out of character for Garcia, who just moved from Arizona and does not know the area. Police say she did not have money or access to money and her vehicle was low on fuel.
Garcia's husband, Jose, said he has searched extensively. Police say they have exhausted all avenues of investigation.
Garcia is 5 feet tall and weighs 145 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair with blonde highlights.
She was last seen wearing black pants and a black jacket. She was driving a 2004 grey Chevrolet Trailblazer with Utah plate number Z392ZE and a Fox Racing sticker in the rear window.
