SALT LAKE CITY -- The driver of a tour bus that rolled over and killed three Japanese tourists in August has waived his preliminary hearing.

The Spectrum of St. George reports Wednesday 26-year-old Yasushi Mikuni is scheduled to enter his plea during an arraignment set for May 24.

Mikuni has been charged with 10 third-degree felony counts of operating a vehicle negligently causing serious injury or death and three misdemeanors, including driving while having THC in his system -- a sign of marijuana use -- and failure to stay in one lane.

Mikuni was behind the wheel of the bus when it rolled on Interstate 15 north of Cedar City, Utah. He was going to school in Las Vegas at the time and was driving tourists to Utah's national parks.
