SPANISH FORK -- A 2-year-old boy has died a day after being pulled from a creek in Spanish Fork Canyon.
The Deseret News of Salt Lake City reports Vincent Larsen of Woodland Hills was taken off life support Sunday afternoon at Primary Children's Medical Center.
Utah County sheriff's Sgt. Spencer Cannon says Larsen had been playing with a 7-year-old boy at a campground when he apparently slipped away by himself Saturday afternoon.
About 40 minutes later, a relative found the boy face down in Starvation Creek, roughly one-quarter mile from where he was last seen.
The boy was flown by medical helicopter to the hospital, where he had been listed in critical condition.
Cannon says the creek where the boy was found is running higher than normal after an unusually snowy winter.
