Couple on Harley collide with deer Sunday

OGDEN -- A couple and a deer walked away with minor injuries after colliding in Ogden Canyon late Sunday.

Weber County Sheriff's Cpl. Nealy Adams said the couple were traveling westbound on Highway 39 near Monte Cristo on their Harley-Davidson motorcycle when the deer jumped in front of them.

The couple both wore helmets, but the driver suffered back injuries and went to McKay-Dee Hospital by ambulance. The female passenger suffered road rash.

The fate of the deer is unknown, Adams said. The animal was last seen limping off.
