BOISE, Idaho -- Authorities say a Utah woman was killed during a rafting accident on the Middle Fork of the Boise River in southwestern Idaho.
The Elmore County Sheriff identified the victim as 34-year-old Cami Oborn, of Riverton, Utah.
Authorities say Oborn and five other family members gathered for a family reunion went rafting down the river Monday evening, starting near the small, historic mining town of Atlanta.
At some point, the raft became lodged on a stump, prompting the group to get out and try to dislodge it. But investigators say during the time the raft was stuck, the victim got trapped under a log.
The Middle Fork of the Boise River is flowing at nearly 5,400 cubic feet per second, more than twice the average for this time of year.
