OGDEN -- An Ogden man was arrested after police say he held his ex-girlfriend against her will in her apartment Tuesday night.
Keyubba Holliday, 37, was booked into Weber County Jail on Wednesday on suspicion of aggravated kidnapping, theft and possession of a firearm by a restricted person.
Lt. Eric Young said the victim was at her apartment on Polk Avenue just before noon Tuesday when Holliday, her ex-boyfriend, came to the door to offer her food.
The woman refused the food and told him to leave, Young said. Holliday then displayed a gun and told the woman that she was going to do what he wanted her to do.
"He kept her there until this morning," Young said Wednesday afternoon. "She got a way to sneak out without him knowing and called police."
Young said the call was made about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
When police arrived at the apartment, they were able to view security footage that showed Holliday enter another apartment in the building. Young said the woman who lives in that apartment told police he had sneaked into the apartment and hid while she was showering. He was there for several hours, but the woman left for work.
Police were able to search the apartment and found Holliday with the gun still on him. He was arrested at the apartment.
The woman did receive minor injuries, Young said, but did not require medical treatment. She told police she was hit with the pistol and had been slapped and punched over the night. Holliday also stole her cell phone during the altercation, which resulted in the theft charge.
