CLEARFIELD -- A new plan has been adopted to ensure the city meets requirements for managing storm water systems.
Clearfield city first adopted a storm water management plan in April 2003. In July 2010, the states revised its permit, requiring municipal cities to review their current plans and update them to be in compliance with new state permit requirements.
The plan includes mapping the city storm drainage system, training staff on management, educating residents and other users, and detecting and eliminating improper connections to the system.
The city council approved the plan after a public hearing during its most recent meeting.
