Weber County educator refuses to talk to investigators

NORTH OGDEN — A Weber County resident described by police as an educator who is being investigated by Pocatello, Idaho, police over allegations involving a female juvenile is refusing to talk to investigators.

Two Pocatello detectives traveled to Weber County recently and contacted the man, Pocatello Police Lt. Paul Manning said Wednesday in a telephone interview.

“He said on the advice of his attorney that he was not going to speak with us,” Manning said.

ROY — A plot by two Roy High School students to kill fellow classmates in what court documents described as a Columbine-style massacre was in its final planning stages, Police Chief Greg Whinham said Thursday.

When asked by reporters during a news conference to gauge on a scale of one to 10 the imminent threat of the bomb plot, Whinham quickly responded.

Benjamin B. Boyce, of Brigham City, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 16, at the Brigham City South Stake Center, 865 S. 300 West, in Brigham City, Utah.
