SOUTH OGDEN — Police are continuing their investigation into a possible gang fight that sent one person to the hospital and two others to jail.
Officers were dispatched to the 3700 block of Riverdale Road about 1:30 a.m. Saturday, said Officer Marci Edwards.
“Reports were received of a party at that location where several dozen intoxicated people were fighting in front of the residence,” she said.
When the officers arrived, they saw two people with obvious injuries and called for medical units. One man, who had been seriously injured when assaulted with a beer bottle, was transported to a local hospital.
Edwards said several of those involved in the fight are suspected Trece members; however, it is unclear if the fight was gang-related.
One person was booked into Weber County Jail on warrants, and another was book on suspicion of unlawful consumption by a minor.
Edwards said no other charges have been filed related to the fight, but the investigation is ongoing.
She said many of those involved have been uncooperative with police, making the investigation more difficult.
The Riverdale Police Department and the Weber County Sheriff’s Office also assisted with the incident.
