OGDEN -- Weber State University received what police believe was a hoax bomb threat Thursday morning at the main campus.
John Kowalewski, director of WSU media relations, said an operator answered a call about 11:40 a.m. The person who was holding the phone did not say anything, Kowalewski said, but someone in the background said something like, "I just threw a bomb in there."
"They are considering it to be a hoax," Kowalewski said. "The buildings have been searched and nothing suspicious has been uncovered."
No one in the buildings was evacuated after the threat was received, Kowalewski said.
He said police and Qwest officials investigated the call and determined it originated off campus but couldn't be more specific about its location.
