Packers coach photographs couple’s beach proposal

MILWAUKEE — A Milwaukee couple will never forget who shot the photos of their surprise marriage proposal during a chance encounter on a Florida beach.

Tim Schlosser, 26, was planning to propose to his longtime girlfriend, Abigail Kobriger, on March 29, the first day of their vacation on Marco Island.

“I wanted to get it over with to take the stress off,” said Schlosser, who told the story first to WTMJ.

Johnny Murdock, of Plain City, practiced the flash mob Christmas dance a handful of times, always leaving out the part where he planned to surprise fellow dance participant Natessa Renee Bybee, of Cottonwood Heights, with a marriage proposal.

Kurt Adams, 25, of Roy, arranged to have patrons of Lagoon amusement park’s Sky Ride hold signs reading “Susan will you marry me?” so he could propose to his girlfriend of nine months, Susan Hamilton, of Loa, on Saturday. It took Adams two weeks to coordinate the proposal, recorded by his parents, who were riding in the chairlift behind them. Susan accepted, and they kissed. Kurt says he was relieved the proposal was a success, because Susan turned to him to discuss the coincidence of her name on the first sign and almost missed the following sign. Carved bears court wedding proposals at MTC Park

OGDEN — An addition to the MTC Park in Ogden is a cute attraction as well as a monument to the volunteers who serve there each week.

A carved female and a male bear, facing each other with a bench between them, are adorned with the words “Love Hill” encased in a heart and the instructions “propose here.” Both bears have the wide eyes of those contemplating marriage.

“I thought because they are posing for pictures all the time and weddings, something romantic would fit in,” said Dennis Miller, who carved the bears and made the bench between them, then built steps up the hill to the creation.
