BOUNTIFUL -- Zack Barlow figured the elderly man living across the street who daily raised the flag and saluted it every morning must have an interesting story to tell. So Barlow, who watched the flag going up every morning at 5 a.m. while taking his cat outside, decided to walk over and introduce himself.

Hatch to honor WWII POW from Layton at U of U football game

SALT LAKE CITY -- Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, will present 95-year-old retired U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel H. Grant Keeler of Layton with a Prisoner of War Medal during the first quarter break at the University of Utah football game Saturday at Rice Eccles Stadium.

OGDEN -- Phil Cordova has spent his entire life around planes, but even he was struck by the history of the two on display in Ogden. On Monday, two restored World War II bombers, the B-17 Flying Fortress "Sentimental Journey" and B-25 Mitchell "Maid in the Shade," flew into Ogden-Hinckley Airport and will remain on display from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m....
