Tracing roots: Ogden Valley bicentennial group maintains registry of Peter Skene Ogden's descendants

OGDEN — This weekend, residents of the Ogden Valley, local history buffs and visitors from outside the region will gather to recognize the 200th anniversary of Peter Skene Ogden’s arrival in the area as part of a Hudson’s Bay Company fur trapping expedition. A commemoration and reenactment of a pivotal encounter between Ogden’s party and American fur trappers led by Johnson Gardner will take place Saturday at the Deserters Point monument.
