Lynn F. and Pegge J. Ure celebrated 50 years of marriage on Wednesday, September 5, 2018.

Lynn is the son of Alice M. Lumley and Harold V. Ure, both deceased, of Carthage, New York, and Pegge is the daughter of Jean M. Thompson and Robert T. Hill, both deceased, of Layton, Utah.

Lynn and Pegge met while working together at the Clearfield Job Corps and were married in Las Vegas in the Little Chapel of the West in 1968.

They have made their home in Layton with the exception of brief periods in Montreal, and Singapore, early in their marriage. Pegge retired after many years as a Procurement Analyst in acquisition management with the federal government, and Lynn retired after a long career in finance and management from Unisys Corporation, both in Salt Lake City. Lynn still volunteers his time on the Board of Directors for Mountain America Credit Union, but they are happiest spending time with their family at grandkids' activities, "sister's dinners," Sunday family breakfasts, family birthday parties, and any other reasons they can think of to gather everyone together.

Lynn and Pegge are the proud parents of three children: Joi Lin and Kirk Olsen, of Layton; Robert and Dana (Midkiff) Ure, of Layton; and Lynn, Jr., and Autumn (Thompson) Ure, of Clinton. They also have nine exceptional grandchildren: Cydanie, Bretten, and Mychael Allen; Anabelle and Maryjane Ure; and Kelsee, Brylee, Tavish, and Lyndee Ure. Lynn also has two sons from a previous marriage, Jeff and Elaine Ure, and Kurtis Ure; and Jeff's children, Blake Ure and Emily Ure; and great-granddaughter, Thea.

Immediate family celebrated their milestone with a private dinner celebration in their honor hosted by their children.
