Eldon Duane was born November 16, 1938, to Alfred and Loie Mildred Fuller Bullock in Hillsboro, Illinois. He was the third child of four children; Charles Maynard Bullock (deceased), Charon Sharp (Joe), and Beverly Overheul (Bud).
Eldon was raised in Hillsboro and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1956. He joined the U.S. Air Force and eventually settled in the Ogden, Utah area. He worked for his friend, Jack Shaw; learning the hardware business, had his own door and hardware business, and worked in civil service and retired from Hill Air Force Base.
Eldon Duane married Joyce Willmore; of Logan, in June 1964. They moved to Plain City, Utah; where they have resided since 1971. Eldon and Joyce had six children: Ricky (deceased), Christie (Scott), Randy (Lydia), Zeke (Amy), Jenifer (Brad) and Nicholas (Sarah). They have 15 grandchildren and eight bonus grandchildren.
Eldon has always been hard working and industrious throughout his life. He has been a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friend. He has also been a great neighbor-plowing all the snow, telephone communications specialist, a builder-he built the family cabin in Island Park, ID; a woodcutter, a missionary at the Bishop's Storehouse, a farmer and rancher - growing alfalfa and raising his small herd of cows, sheep, and other animals. Receiving a nickname is the highest form of endearment.
His children are hosting an open house to celebrate his birthday at the Plain City Senior Center, 4162 W. 2200 North, Plain City, on Saturday, November 10, 2018, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
We invite friends and family to come by and honor our Dad's 80th birthday.
