Eagle Scout Award: Nash Walter Abbot Hill

Nash Walter Abbot Hill, achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in January, and plans to celebrate at a Court of Honor on May 16, 2019, at the Wasatch Ward meeting house located at 6300 Combe Road in South Ogden, at 6:30 p.m. Nash is the son of Terry W. and Cheryl A. Hill of South Ogden.

Nash began his Scouting adventure in the Cub Scouts where he earned his Arrow of Light Award and continued into Scouting where at the age of eleven he earned his first six merit badges at Camp Lowell. Since then he served in many positions with his Troop 434 earning 46 merit badges along with five palms over the years. He went to many camps, on high adventures and spent time at Merit badge Pow-Wow's gaining many talents, memories and friendships from his activities with the Scouting Organization.

For his Eagle Project, he organized a book drive for Madison Elementary School in Ogden, finishing off delivering books collected, then spending time reading to the students along with several members of his troop. Nash thanks everyone who was involved with making his project a success.

Nash will graduate from Bonneville High School this month and wants to go into a technological field in software development. He's currently taking classes at the Ogden Weber Technical College where he was awarded the Presidential Scholarship. Nash has been involved with many projects at school including FBLA, Weberfest and Anchor News. He has worked in animation, programming, and media during his time at Bonneville. In his spare time, he likes to play piano, guitar, and bass and is a Beatles fan. Nash is always willing to help anyone and loves providing service to his neighbors and community.

He'd like to thank all those who helped him along the journey of becoming an Eagle from his early Den Leaders to Scoutmasters, friends and family, his mom, dad and sister, Saige.
