Leland William Pack, 56, of Layton, Utah passed away October 31, 2021, after a brave fight with pancreatic cancer. He was born December 5, 1964, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ivan Phillip and Gail Hoppie Pack.

Leland grew up in Bountiful, Utah. He graduated from Viewmont High School in 1983. After graduating from the University of Utah, he went on to OHSU School of Dentistry in Portland, Oregon. While in Portland, he met his loving wife Sharon Diane Baker. They were married in the Los Angeles Temple July 7, 1990.

After finishing his Orthodontic residency at Loma Linda University in 1996, he set up practice in Ogden, Utah. He also joined Hillfield Pediatric and Adult Dentistry in Layton. He loved his patients and all those he worked with. Leland also enjoyed golfing, skiing, hiking, crossword puzzles, Jeopardy, and family history. His witty sense of humor will sorely be missed.

Leland served a mission in Kobe, Japan for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed serving in many capacities, especially teaching others about the scriptures and gospel principles. He was a faithful man and endured to the end.

Leland is survived by his wife Sharon, children; Halie (David) Irizarry, Connor (Tiana) Pack, Lauren (Braden) Thornton, grandsons; Michael, William, River, and Finn. He is also survived by his siblings; Leslie (Eric) Rossi, Martin (Kazumi) Pack, Nicole Pack, many nieces, nephews, father-in-law Bernard (Carol) Baker and mother-in-law Helen Baker. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Leland and his family would like to thank all our family and friends who were so loving and supportive during this difficult year.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Layton Lakeview Ward Chapel, 2510 Church St., Layton, Utah. Friends may visit with family Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah and Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the church.
