Myrna Joyce Chase

Myrna Joyce Chase, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother peacefully returned to her Heavenly home on November 13, 2021 at the age of 89 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 11, 1932 in Ogden, Utah to George Victor and Ethel Harben Sadler. She grew up in Ogden, where she graduated form Ogden High School.

She married her sweetheart, Val J. Chase on December 28, 1952 and they were later sealed in the Logan Temple. They were blessed with three sons who always kept them busy. She lived in Ogden and the surrounding area her entire life.

Myrna was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings throughout her life. She and Val served 2-year mission together in the Addiction Recovery Program for the Church. She also served as a Tour Guide at the Utah State Capitol for several years which she truly enjoyed. Myrna was an exceptional home maker and always kept an immaculate home. She loved to travel with her companion and acquire unique collectables wherever they went. Myrna loved to sing, and she had a beautiful singing voice. She also loved her family and would do anything to help when needed.

Myrna is survived by her husband, Val; three children, Brad (Dianna) Chase, Clinton, UT; Cory (Sharon) Chase, Pleasant View, UT; and Barry (Tammy) Chase, Liberty, UT; 12 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; and her youngest sister, Pat Shroader. Preceding her in death are her parents, four brother and four sisters; her mother and father-in-law, Jesse and Arvilla Chase; and her daughter-in-law, Wendy Chase.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
