Tony Cota passed away on September 17th, 2021 surrounded by his friends in Archdale, North Carolina at the age of 60.

He was born to Frank and Betty Jean Cota on May 22, 1961. He was baptized at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ogden and later moved to North Carolina due to his father’s military orders. Tony would grow up in North Carolina and work as a Civil Engineer often working in various parts of the U.S. He enjoyed golf and riding his Harley Davidson; he was president of the High Point Harley Chapter of riders. He supported and was Vice President of the Sons of American Legion post 206.

Tony is survived by his nephew Jordan and two nieces Sarah and Mary Cota of North Carolina. Also surviving are his Aunts Gloria Estrada of Watsonville, California, and Emily Barboza, God Mother Inez Cota, and Uncle Alexander Cota Sr. all of Ogden. Tony has numerous cousins and friends, who thought the world of him. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Betty Jean and his only sibling Frank Jr., Great Grandparents Francisco and Josephine Chairez, Grandparents Nicholas and Mary Chairez Cota, and Uncle, Nicholas Cota Jr.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Guil-Rand Memorial Park Cemetery, Archdale, NC at a later date and time.
