1948 – 2022

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Teresa Howes Perkes passed away peacefully at home on August 2, 2022, following a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Teresa was born January 24, 1948 in Ogden, Utah to Gordon and Thelma Howes. She attended Roy High School. She married the love of her life, Don Ivan Perkes, on September 18, 1965. Their 56 years of marriage was a beautiful love story and a perfect example of always and forever. They were blessed with three boys.

Teresa had a contagious smile and made many friends everywhere she went. She had a love for horses and spent many years showing them. She also enjoyed square dancing with Don and her friends. She often tried convincing her boys to square dance but never succeeded. Teresa’s family was always her highest priorities.

She loved her work and had a successful career at Hill Air Force Base where she was a System’s Analyst. Teresa retired in 2003 and spent her retirement in the fifth wheel traveling with Don across the county.

Teresa is survived by her husband, Don; her children, Blake, Kevin (Gail), and Gary (Traci); brothers, Kerry (Susie), Mark (Janet) and Scott (Kris) Howes, mother-in-law, Dorothy Perkes, brother-in-laws, Dennis (Marilyn) Perkes and Shelly King, and sister-in-law, Barbara Howes, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Thelma Howes; father-in-law Don W. Perkes; brother, Vaughn Howes, and sister in-law, Patsy King.
