Karen LaRae Baird

1938 –­ 2022

Karen LaRae Baird, 83, passed away January 6, 2022. She was born September 25, 1938 to Clarence William Baird and Alice Mortensen Baird in Ogden, Utah. She graduated from Ogden High and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She loved her books and dogs. She was a scrapper and opinionated and precise in what she wanted. She was a lifelong caregiver, spending her whole life taking care of family and doing things to help others.

Karen is survived by her sister-in-law LuJeanne Peters, nephews Greg (Ruth) Peters, Thomas (Sally) Dalton and Brett (Londalee) Baird, nieces Kelly (Danny) Price and Alisa (Rhett) Rivera, her good friend John Rice and many other beloved nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Keith, Bob and Bruce, nieces Kris Peters, RuthAnn Yoshimura, Chera Baird and nephew Jesse Yoshimura. She also survived many beloved pets.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT. A viewing will be held prior from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment in the Ogden City Cemetery.
