Joseph Paul Vigil

Joseph Paul Vigil passed away on June 18, 2022 in his home in Ogden Utah. Joe was born to Rufino Vigil & Rosenda Archuleta who preceded him in death. Joe was born August 22, 1942 in Walsenburg, Colorado. Joe lived in Rock Springs, Wyoming in his early years. He attended Catholic school there in Rock Springs. He also served in the Navy. Joe has also lived in Park City, Las Vegas and California and attended culinary school where he learned to cook for many Restaurants. He was also a costume designer for many stars in Las Vegas.

Joe loved Wendover and the fun of gambling and spent a lot of weekends there. Joe had a great love for others and loved to volunteer his time helping others In any way he could. He was a great senior companion to Blake Winn and Robert Smith and many others. Joe loved shopping at second hand stores and yard sales looking for anything he could get to help others. Joe had a very special friend Barbara Larkin that he met at 3 link tower. They spent a lot of time together and really enjoyed each other’s company. He also had a very special Friend Ryder Teasdale who was like a grandson to him. He loved Ryder and Barbara with all his heart. Joe also had two very special dogs that were just like his kids. Zena proceeded him in death and Duke will miss him dearly.

Joe had 9 brothers and sisters, Henry (Rosie) Carson, Maria (Rudy) Burch, Delores (Roland) Coleman, Phyllis (Joseph) Martinez, Jennie (Aurelio) Medina, Frances (Joe) Fernandez, Kent (Mary) Vigil, Roberta (Jose) Cordova, Steven (Lorraine) Vigil. Joe also had many nieces and nephews whom he loved and will miss him. He was preceded in death by Henry, Maria, Phyllis and Jennie. A memorial gathering will be held at 3 link tower Saturday July, 2 2022 at 1 pm. at 2427 Jefferson ave. Ogden, Utah
