Diane Lynn Gibson passed away on June 26th, 2022. She was born on January 29, 1947 in Galveston, Texas to Lorraine and Edward Centers.

In 1967, Diane met the love of her life, Joe Gibson. They were married in 1969 and sealed later at the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Together they raised three children Jay, Becky and Casey.

The family settled in North Ogden in 1972. Diane provided home day care, and was in the Primary Presidency. She was a Cub Scout leader and “Dance Mom.” The neighborhood kids spent countless hours at her home, as Diane had the best snacks on the block. Diane was employed by Weber School District as a paraprofessional for over 20 years. She dedicated her life to working with children and loved each special child in her classroom at Green Acres Elementary.

Most of all, Diane loved her family. Her children and grandchildren were always the center and focus of her life. She adored and loved them unconditionally! Diane was proud of all of their accomplishments and supported them in every way. She attended countless baseball and softball games, dance recitals, and school activities. Celebrations and family traditions were important to her and an opportunity to have a party. Diane loved to play video games and watch the Young and the Restless. She was a great debater and loved to be in charge.

Diane accepted everyone she met. She was generous with her money, time and love. She has touched so many and will be truly missed.

A Special Thank you to Diane’s friends Rienie Vigil and Wilma Chadez. They have loved and supported her through the years.
