Richard Edward Krebs

1939 ­– 2022

Richard E. Krebs passed away May 15, 2022. He was born July 21, 1939, in Greenville, Michigan to Chauncey E. Krebs and Hulda Louise Wulf Krebs. He lived in Nebraska, Michigan, Montana and Utah. He attended Lakeview High School in Michigan and Weber State College in Utah.

Richard served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War for over 3 years. He loved his country. Richard had a strong faith in God and studied the bible.

Richard married Loa Searle in Franklin Idaho on June 18, 1960. They had two daughters together. They were later divorced. He married Bonnie Eileen Olsen in Reno, Nevada on December 2, 1969. With that marriage, he gained a son and a daughter.

Richard had horses Dollar and Gypsy that he took great care of and enjoyed riding. He loved dogs. They were a happy part of his life.

He enjoyed playing basketball, hunting, fishing, gold panning, woodworking, home repair, and building construction. He was a member of the NRA.

Richard was always a good friend and neighbor and enjoyed helping others.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie; daughter Tracey (Steven) McKissen, daughter Terry (Larry) Hawkes, and daughter Brenda (Terry) Finlayson; 13 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother LeMoyne Krebs, sister Eleanor Larsen, sister June Nielsen; son Roger James and great-grandson Landon Smith.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at the Ben Lomond Cemetery in North Ogden, UT.
