February 13, 1927 ~ May 11, 2019
Betty Lou Taylor Etherington, slipped through this earthly veil on May 11, 2019, to be reunited with her beloved family that passed on before her. She was the last of her family. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Betty was born on February 13, 1927, to Gideon M. Price and Pearlillian S. Hansen in Ogden, Utah.
She married DeWain Heber Taylor on June 11, 1948, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in The Ogden LDS Temple on March 15, 1994. DeWain preceded her in death on November 17, 1990. She later married John E. (Jack) Etherington on September 29, 2000, in Ogden.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She always had a firm testimony of the Savior.
She retired from the Internal Revenue Service.
She loved her family and so enjoyed telling them of her childhood stories. She had a huge heart and loved to give to others. Her family was her life and she loved all of them.
She is survived by her children: Larry D. (Margo) Taylor, Debbie (Benny) Blackwell and Steven D. Taylor. She also has four step-daughters: Cathy (Gene) Stephens, Caye (Jerry) Jones, Carol (Scott) Groeniger, and Cari Etherington; she had eight grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2019, at the Lorin Farr 3rd Ward, 1570 E. 1300 S. A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2019, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., and Friday, at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
