"Love you more than all the stars in the sky''

Our mom was born to Charles G. Criswell and Velma L. Beck on July 6, 1938 close to the Fourth of July to match her firecracker personality. She was stubborn, young in her style and people noticed how beautiful she was everywhere she went.

She attended Ogden High School and married our dad Darvel (Duff) Conley on April 2, 1955 at the age of 16. Dad made mom happy and she knew he adored her. Dad passed in 1998 and mom has been longing to share another sunset with him.

They spent 43 years loving one another spending good times golfing, boating at Flaming Gorge, hosting parties, enjoying the ocean in Carlsbad and gambling with a close-knit group of family and friends. She loved red wine, traveling with Dad, Christmas, funky cute clothes, shopping at Ross or T J Maxx, dill pickle chips, candles, boots, daisies, sunsets, a clean house, her Nissan Murano, her three kids, Scott (Debbie) Conley, Tami (Lou) Payan, Robin (Rocky) Lambourne and all her grandchildren.

Mom retired from Ogden Regional Medical Center where she worked in the business office and was known for her beautiful choice of clothes and high heels. She was happy to claim a nail polish color named after her at Sunsationails Salon forever called Cheryl Pink. Mom appreciated the beauty of "living on the green" at The Barn and her view of Ben Lomond Peak. She was manager of the Pleasant Meadows HOA for many years and enjoyed Bunko with the ladies there.

She was generous and often took care of the bill of those she hardly knew. She enjoyed volunteering at the Lantern House and had many friends there.

Mom passed away after two years stubbornly and bravely battling health issues. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Duff, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, grand/great grandchildren and loving brothers.

Thank you for the loving care provided by Comfort WorX Hospice aides and Dr. Gary Holland. Mom shared a special bond with her hospice aide Debbie Roest and we all looked forward to her fun-loving visits.

We, her children would like to invite you to join us in celebrating our mom on Saturday, December 8 for an open house from 5:00 -7:00 pm at Rickenbacker's at the Ogden Gateway Center 4282 South 1650 West in Ogden, Utah.

Private services will be held at our parent's gravesite at Leavitt's Aultorest Memorial Park at a later date in time for the Luminary Ceremony this December celebrating a peaceful night of closure.

In lieu of flowers please enjoy a sunset with someone you love sharing a glass of your favorite wine or by donating in Mom's honor for those in need. Donations to the Lantern House 269 West 33rd Street Ogden, UT 84401.

Mom, you were right. We do see you in the Milky Way. It's more beautiful and shining brighter now!
