David (Dave) William Holden, loving father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, passed away on Monday May 21, 2018. Dave was born on July 25, 1966, to Jesse and Arlene Holden. He was the second of four children. Dave was born feet first and hit the ground running and never stopped to look back.

Dave grew up in Willard, Utah, and learned his work ethic from his father and mother. He enjoyed scouting and received the rank of Eagle Scout. He graduated from Box Elder High School in 1984, and joined the US Navy. He was a veteran of Desert Storm. In 1993, he married Susan Gilbert, they later divorced.

Dave spent the last 20 years in Georgia, where he was a buyer for Habitat for Humanity and most recently at Milner in Georgia.

Dave was an avid mountain climber until as he put it "old age got in the way." Dave also loved the outdoors and spent as much time as he could whenever he could there. Dave's biggest joy was his grandsons who he loved to tell stories about. Dave was also a member of the masons of the Tucker Lodge where he was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason in 2011.

Dave loved life and made sure that everyone around him was happy. He never hesitated to help anyone and was always there for everyone. Dave always tried to make life better for everyone around him. His passing leaves a hole in the heart of everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his companion, Beverly Herring; son, Ian Brown; father, Jesse Holden (Annette); sisters: Elizabeth Cragun (Richard), Erica Nielsen (Norman), Stefanie Holtermann (Brian); seven nieces and nephews; one uncle; three aunts; and many cousins. He is also survived by two grandsons. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts, uncles and most recently his mother, Arlene A. Holden.

The memorial services are to be held On June 2, 2018, at 2 p.m. in Georgia, at Floral Hills funeral home at 3150 Lawrenceville Hwy, Tucker, GA 30084, with military honors.

A celebration of David's life will be held at The Cove at Maple Springs, 1040 medical dr., Brigham City, UT, on June 2, 2018, from 1 to 3 p.m. Bring your memories of Dave and join us in celebrating Dave's life.
