October 22, 1925 ~ September 13, 2018

Donna C. Stewart passed away peacefully September 13, 2018, with her family by her side.

Donna and her twin brother, Dale, were welcomed into this world on October 22, 1925, in North Ogden, to Emil and Florence Chatelain. She was raised on the fruit farm with her siblings: Melba, Virginia, Fay and Dale.

She graduated from Seminary and Weber County High School in May of 1943. After graduating, she waited for her high school sweetheart, Junior F. Stewart to return from service in Korea during War World II. They were married on May 15, 1947, in the Salt Lake LDS temple.

They built their home in Warren, in 1949, where she resided until just before her passing. They adopted two children, Susan and Craig. While Susan and Craig were in High School, Orleta Rose June was welcomed into the family and the three finished high school together. Her and Junior raised the kids, ran several businesses and a dairy farm.

Donna was an active member of the Warren LDS Ward, she held many religious and civic positions in the community. She's received great joy in serving others and supporting her husband in all of his endeavors as well. Donna was a natural historian and her work is self evident in the countless number of books that she has lovingly put together over the past several decades of her family and the Warren community. She loved being social as much as possible. In recent years her loves were going with the girls to luncheons at the senior center and going to the temple.

She has touched and been touched by so many lives far beyond her own family. The family would love to express gratitude to friends, neighbors and community for the love and support shown to her as she aged. Her desire to be at home for as long as practical was made possible by the helping hands of the community.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Susan; her children: Zac Christensen and his wife Heather, Jed Christensen and his wife Kellie and Andrea Christensen. Her son, Craig and his children: Tiffany, Mindy, Shenille, Nicole and Shaylee. Orleta June Waters and her children, Rebecca Lang and Paul Fredrick Lang. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior; her parents; sisters and brother.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Warren Ward Chapel, 856 North 5900 West, Warren. A visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 10 a.m. Interment, West Warren/Warren Cemetery.

The family would like to express thanks to Apple Village Assisted Living in Layton and Brighton Home Health and Hospice for the love, support and tender kindness shown to our family during this life transition.

In lieu of flowers we would like to encourage donations to Brighton Beautiful Moment at 116 East 6600 South, Murray, UT 84121.

Arrangements entrusted to Myers Ogden Mortuary.

Unfortunately, Donna had a much bigger family than mentioned. Donna is also survived by 18 additional great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren. And 1 great great granddaughter that passed shortly after birth two days before Donna did. I believe she needed to move on to be able to be with our sweet baby girl. Grandma Stewart was the absolute best matriarch our family could ask for.
