February 6, 1947 ~ November 3, 2018

Steven Edward Kammeyer was born February 6, 1947, to Edward and Kathryn Kammeyer, in Ogden, Utah. He had a wonderful childhood filled with love and many adventures.

As a youth, he excelled in academics and was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Steve attended medical school at the University of Utah and residency in San Diego on a Navy scholarship program. He spent a total of 10 years in the Navy.

He returned to Ogden in 1980, to begin private practice in obstetrics and gynecology. He blessed the lives of countless women and babies. He retired in March 2017.

He had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ. He served in many church callings and reflected our Savior's love by giving service for many years in Mali, and recently, in Indonesia and Guyana. He had plans to give much more service, but the Lord had other plans. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Steve is survived by his wife, Adele; children: Kristine (Tim) Argent, James (Alisa) Kammeyer, Paul (Kristie) Kammeyer, Karie (Doug) Caldwell, Blair Hoxer, and Lindsey (Jared) Ohlin; as well as his mother, Kathryn; sisters, Joanne Hatch and Marie Shepherd; and brother, Doug Kammeyer.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Weber Heights Stake Center, 1401 Country Hills Dr. Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
