Eldee H. Leavitt of Ogden, passed away on August 9, 2018. He was born June 25, 1933, in Afton, WY, to Thede and Merettie Harrison Leavitt. He graduated from Star Valley High School and attended Weber College. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict.

Eldee married Veloy Allen on July 20, 1956, in Ogden, Utah. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He retired from HAFB after 30 years of service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, camping, spending time with his family and teaching them how to fish. Eldee also enjoyed reading.

Eldee is survived by his wife of 62 years, Veloy; daughter, Lorna L. Bennit (Richard); three grandchildren: Brenda, Tammy, Kaylynn; and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Carolyn Hiner; brother, Keith Leavitt (Mary); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Roger.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. where a viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:40 to 10:40 a.m. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd., where military honors will be accorded.
