Ethan J. Maw

November 23, 1980 ~ May 11, 2019

Ethan J. Maw, 38, beloved Son, Brother, Father, and friend, left this life suddenly on May 11, 2019, after suffering a medical emergency while in California.

Ethen was born on November 23, 1980, to Bryce and Yvonne Maw, in South Ogden, Utah. He continued to reside there throughout his childhood and adult life. Growing up, Ethan was always a very happy, easy going boy. Ethan attended Weber County Schools, including Bonneville High School, where he played football, graduated and made many of his lifelong friends. Ethan will always be remembered for his larger than life personality, his great big heart, and his famous "bear hugs" that he would give to anyone who was standing in front of him.

Ethan spent most of his career in the automotive, boat, and RV industries. Throughout high school, Ethan worked for Peterson Motors of Ogden, for his Uncle Ty. He also spent time working for Ken Garff Nissan, Peterson Marine, and Darren Bideaux RV. All of Ogden. Ethan spoke highly of, and loved the "dream team" of guys he spent time working with over the years.

Ethan was a father to two beautiful children, Son Bridger and Daughter Aniston. He enjoyed picking them up from school, taking them to lunch, helping with homework, reading to them, and watching them play soccer. Ethan loved being a father and spending time with his children. They were his whole world, and proudest achievement.

Ethan had one brother, Isaac Maw. Ethan and Isaac's brotherhood was unique and special from the time they were little boys. Attached to each other's hips. Ethan's relationship and close bond to his brother was very important to him. He looked up to, and loved Isaac very much.

Throughout his life, Ethan loved and enjoyed the freedom of the outdoors. He always looked forward to times spent fishing, boating at Pineview, golfing, skiing, and four wheeling with the guys.

As a family, our hearts are broken over the loss of our Ethan, but our hearts are full of gratitude for the many friends and family that extended their love and support to us during this difficult time. We thank you all for helping Ethan get home, and giving him a proper send off from this earthy life. We'd also like to extend a special thanks to you Ethan friends, and the hospital staff in California for their love and care of Ethan during his final hours.

Ethan is survived by his loving parents, Bryce and Yvonne Maw; best friend and brother, Isaac Maw; children Bridger and Aniston, his grandma Mable, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandma and grandpa Maw, and his grandpa Leo.
