Helen "LaVoie"^Ozmun Quist

LaVoie Ozmun Quist, Our Lady Fair, born on November 2, 1931, daughter of Elton E. and Velma Leishman Ozmun, passed away from complications of a stroke on December 14, 2018, at age 87.

She was born in Wellsville, Utah, grew up in Ogden, Utah, and graduated from Ogden High School. She married S. Ivan Quist on April 12, 1949. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.

LaVoie has belonged to various organizations throughout the years. She has served faithfully in numerous church callings. It can be said that she truly lived.

She has delighted many with her crocheted hankies, ceramics, and paintings, rendered by her creative hands.

She was preceded in death by her sister, LuJean (John) Bouwhuis; brother, Duane (Bev) Ozmun; and grandson, Coleman Quist.

LaVoie is survived by her eternal sweetheart, S. Ivan Quist, Huntsville; sister, Sherral (Steve) Thurgood; five children: Farley (Judy) Quist, Liberty; Debbie (Allen) Melle, Huntsville; Jeanette (Mark) Goodson, Huntsville; Rob (Heather) Quist, Japan; and Jeff (Melissa) Quist, Syracuse; two "adopted"^children, Helena (Rich) Carapellatti, Arizona, and Tammy (Rob) Will, Draper. She has loved to the moon and back 17 grandchildren and their spouses, and 33 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Fran (the best of friends), the Middlefork Ward (for their many acts of service), and the caregivers at Mckay Dee Hospital, and Mt. Ogden Care Center.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Huntsville Utah Stake Center, 6450 E. 1900 N. Eden. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Huntsville Cemetery.
