Our Beautiful Mom Kay Durfee Hawks left this earthly plane for Heaven on February 23, 2019. Mom was Born January 25, 1953, in Ogden, Utah to Vear (junior) Durfee and Rose Marie Wolford.

Mom attended Ogden City Schools where she met the love of her life Ned Hawks they were married December 15, 1967, but were later divorced and remained great friends. From that union, they had three children; Michelle Hawks Peterson (Kyle), Tricia Hawks Miller and Andy Hawks whom she loved and lived her life for. Mom had seven grandchildren: who she doted on and adored Charese and Dillon Peterson, Kaela Herrera, Jaden Hawks, Xander Hawks and the twins Oakley and Sawyer Hawks. She also had two great-granddaughters who she loved just as much Eden Schvaneveldt and Khloe Brunell who affectionately called her "Grandma Cake".

Our Mother had two sisters that were her best friends, Jean Durfee and Karan Durfee Pagano (Max) and a Brother, Robin Hewitt who she loved very much.

Mom worked at Williams International before she went to live In Alaska, Mom also put in many years at Pacific Chromalox and in her younger years worked at Utah Tailoring But no matter where she worked she made great friends who she talked highly of. Our Mother was a very selfless person, she gave and loved unconditionally with every fiber of her being, she led by example and is greatly missed. Mom had special cousins that she loved too.

She was preceded in death by both parents, her sister Jean and her daughter-in-law, Tomi Ann and numerous family members all of which she missed dearly, and all her many animals that she loved and considered family.

Mom you are the "Light" that will continue to shine in each of us Families are Forever. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me Heavenward In Christ Jesus Philippians 3:14. We all love you and we look forward to the day we get to be with you again.

We will be having a Celebration of Life for Family and Friends at a later date.
