Margaret Clark Price

1927 ~ 2019

Margaret Price 91 was born November 28, 1927, to Meta (Wunderly) and Newell Sirls Clark in Georgetown, Idaho. After the passing of her father, her mother moved with her five children to Salt Lake City. There Margaret met the love of her life, Calvin Price, and after WWII ended they courted and were married on February 28, 1948, in the Salt Lake Temple. Over the years, they lived in Portland, Salt Lake, Seattle, Irrigon, Sandy, Plain City, and Harrisville.

Margaret was an ideal homemaker, developing skills as a historian, companion, seamstress, accountant, chauffeur, counselor, cheerleader, teacher, and laundress. She loved being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served whenever and wherever she could. She did extensive family history work and, with Cal, served missions to New Zealand/Cook Islands and Raleigh, NC.

Margaret was loved for her gentle spirit, wisdom, humor, patience and sharp mind. Her greatest joy was her family.

On April 20, 2019, Margaret joined Calvin in heaven.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers Carl and Paul, two sons-in-law, a grandson, and two great- grandbabies. She is survived by her sister Dorothy, brother Ted, her nine children Glen (Nancy) Price, Kathleen (Gilbert) Simpson, Arleen (Andrew-deceased) Bjorn, Barbara (Douglas) Price, David (Teresa) Price, Janeal (Michael) Castellaw, Douglas (Suzanne) Price, Karen (Sal-deceased) Salazar, and Lynnette (Roger) Shuman, 48 grandchildren, 105 great-grandchildren and counting, extended family, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at the Harrisville 2nd Ward, 435 West Harrisville Road. Friends may visit with family on Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. and Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Salt Lake Cemetery.
