You couldn't go anywhere in Ogden without former students coming up to Mickey or "Mrs. Orr" for a hug. Mickey enjoyed being a part of her community, proudly serving on the Farr West City Council, The Farr West Youth Council, The Weber Fire District Board, and participating in the Weber County Sheriff's Office Citizen Academy with her husband Kim.

Mickey practiced Hapkido, achieving the rank of 2nd-degree black belt. More recently, Mickey enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR races with her best friend and husband Kim.
