Nathan Durkee passed away on April 12, 2019, at his home. He was a self-taught pianist and had a passion for music, spending many hours playing the piano and composing. Nathan gifted his friends with his original compositions through the CD'S he made. He enjoyed attending musicals with his mother and friends.
Nathan found beauty and meaning in everything, he loved taking drives through the canyons and avenues of Salt Lake City.
Nathan is survived by his husband Learit Garrido Carrera; his parents Randall and Donna Durkee, one sister Natalie (Jason) Struhs, two brothers Shane Durkee and Jason Durkee. He is also survived by two nieces Cherish Springer and Jade Durkee, and one nephew Dylan Durkee. and many friends he loved as family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, an aunt and uncle.

A viewing will be held Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 11:30-1:30. Funeral at 2:00 PM at Aspen Funeral Home 459 W. Universal Circle (9160 S.) Sandy UT. followed by a graveside service at 12:30 Mt. Olivet Cemetery Salt Lake City
