November 10, 1942 ~ December 20, 2018
Richard C. Woeppel was born on November 10th, 1942 on a cold, snowy day in Hogeland, Montana. The fifth of seven brothers, Richard was the son of Emil C. Woeppel and Florence Snowardt. He has one surviving brother, Leonard, in Billings, Montana.
Richard graduated from Brockton High School with high honors. He then joined the U.S. Air Force shortly after and served as a medical technician at HAFB, UT. Thereafter he went into Civil Service as a machinist, and then a scheduler, until he retired in 1996.
Richard married Sharon K. Omer November 14, 1964, in Our Savior's Lutheran Church. He was confirmed in the Lutheran Church in Montana. He has three wonderful children; Daniel (Susan) Woeppel, Terri Davis and Marci E. Woeppel; six grandchildren Jessica, Jake (Jessica), Taylor, Kaylin, Leah, and Peyton; and four great-grandchildren. Richard also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Throughout his younger years he enjoyed hunting, bowling, building, and home projects. Family road trips were always an adventure. After he retired he enjoyed reading western novels, movies, and music-especially Jim Reeves.
Richard was a quiet, resourceful man, a good provider, and enjoyed his family and household pets.
Richard passed peacefully into God's loving hands on December 20, 2018, on a beautiful, sunny day.
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
In keeping with Richard's wishes, services were private and a graveside service for family and friends will be at a later date.
