Veloy Leavitt wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019; she was 82.

She was born in Huntsville Utah on October 10, 1937 to Arnetta (Margaret) Bowles and Leo Duane Allen. She was the second oldest of four children.

Veloy attended Ogden High School and was a member of the graduating class of 1954. She met the love of her life, Eldee Leavitt through friends. Veloy married Eldee on July 20, 1956 in Ogden Utah. They had two children, Lorna and Roger.

She held many jobs during her lifetime, retiring from Hill Air Force Base as an aircraft electrician.

She loved reading, gardening, camping, fishing, hunting and spending time with her family and caring for her animals.

She was a loving caregiver to her husband Eldee of 62 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Eldee; son Roger; parents and siblings. She is survived by her daughter Lorna (Rick) Bennit; three granddaughters, Brenda Thiel, Tammy Weight, and Kaylynn (Dennis) Taylor and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. where viewings will be held on Friday, February 15th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 12:40 to 1:40 p.m. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd.
