Prof. Gene Sessions speaks about the rise of the Moyle family

OGDEN — Gene A. Sessions will discuss the topic "From Stonecutters to the Cabinet and the First Presidency: The Rise of the Moyle Family" at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, at the Ogden FamilySearch Library, Room No. 12, 539 24th St.

A professor of history at Weber State University, Sessions is the author and editor of many works, including "The Religious and Political Memoirs of James Henry Moyle," for which he received the Mormon History Association annual award for best-edited work. He has also served as past president of the Mountain Meadows Association and as consultant for documents and committees exploring the Utah war and the Mountain Meadows Massacre.
