Paul Martin Gilmore of Ogden celebrated his 80th birthday at a family gathering at the Maddox Ranch House Restaurant on Saturday, Aug. 13. He was born in Ogden on Aug. 14, 1931, the only child of Richard Clyde Gilmore and Ruth Emma Fisher. Attending Ogden schools, he graduated from Ogden High School in 1949, and was accepted into the University of Utah College of Pharmacy, becoming a registered state of Utah pharmacist in 1955. While at the university, he participated in the U.S. Air Force ROTC program. He was commissioned a second lieutenant in the Air Force and was honorably discharged as a captain on May 31, 1967. He married Maurine Jensen on June 5, 1953, and they had four children: Kathi Gilmore, Greg Gilmore, Pam Gilmore and Heidi Gilmore. Maurine died May 3, 1993. On March 3, 1989, he retired as a GM-15 Deputy Division, chief for trainers, from the Ogden Air Materiel Area, Hill Air Force Base. He later married Geneal Norris Lundquist on March 31, 1994, who had three children: Richard Lundquist, Robert Lundquist and M’Shelle Dixon. He enjoys golf and played in many local area golf tournaments, winning his share. He is an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Ogden LDS Temple. He has also done service for others through genealogy work.
