This year, the Standard-Examiner's Apple for the Teacher contest received more than 1,500 nominations for Northern Utah's best educator. Of those talented, caring teachers, 20 finalists were selected for the contest's voting round. The 10 teachers in this gallery received the highest number of votes in the contest. We congratulate them, as well as the contest's winner, Roy High School teacher Michele Kersey-Smith. The Apple for the Teacher contest is sponsored by McKay-Dee Hospital.
