OGDEN — Take a trip to the North Pole with the latest movie offering from the Egyptian Theatre Foundation.

“The Polar Express” will be screened at noon Friday, Nov. 23, at Peery’s Egyptian Theater, 2415 Washington Blvd.

The 2004 animated film is rated PG. It’s based on the 1985 children’s book by the same name, authored by Chris Van Allsburg. the movie is directed by Robert Zemeckis and features Tom Hanks in various vocal roles.

Describing the plot of the movie, the Warner Bros. website explains: “When a doubting young boy takes an extraordinary train ride to the North Pole, he embarks on a journey of self-discovery that shows him that the wonder of life never fades for those who believe.”
