CENTERVILLE — Students at the CenterPoint Academy will present Disney’s “The Little Mermaid Jr.” this week.

The young mermaid Ariel longs to live on land. But first, she’ll have to defy her father King Triton, make a deal with the sea witch Ursula, and win the heart of Prince Eric.

The play is adapted from the Broadway production and the motion picture, based on one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved stories.

“The Little Mermaid Jr.” will be staged at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Sept. 6-8, on the Barlow Main Stage at the CenterPoint Legacy Theatre, 525 N. 400 West. Additional shows will be presented at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Tickets are $10.
