Ogden vs. Missoula

Ogden Raptors outfielder Drew Avans (right) tumbles while being tagged by Missoula's Cesar Garcia after trying to turn a single into a double Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Lindquist Field in Ogden.

Ending what has been a long tradition, and possibly as an answer for increased travel posed by having a team in Colorado Springs, the Pioneer League has changed the 76-game schedule to make it so all cross-division teams will no longer face each other during the season.

In recent seasons, the Raptors would play each of the four teams in the North Division seven times for a total of 28 cross-divisional games.

In 2019, the Raptors will play Idaho Falls and Missoula each in two four-game series for a total of 16 cross-divisional games and will not play Billings or Great Falls. That means Ogden will play 60 games against fellow South Division foes instead of 48.
