Social Axe Throwing in Ogden

Brayden Floyd, center, discusses how to score an axe throw at Social Axe Throwing in downtown Ogden on Wednesday, April 19, 2017. Floyd describes himself as both an owner, a coach and a party host for axe throwers.

Do you and your dad like to bond over weapons? If so, there's a few places where you can celebrate that interest in Northern Utah.

Smith & Edwards is hosting its annual Range Day on from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Three Mile Creek Gun Range in Perry.

"Join us for a day of shooting all your favorite hand guns and rifles from a variety of manufacturers," the event listing reads.

Ammo punch cards are available for purchase for $20 online beginning Friday and will be available at the range on Saturday during the event. Representatives from gun manufacturers will be on hand to talk about the latest shooting techniques, newest gun models and new products.

Food will be available at the World's Best Corndogs and Rocky Mountain Burger Bus food trucks.

If your dad is more of the lumberjack type, bring him to Social Axe Throwing's downtown Ogden location and toss some axes around for an hour or two.

You can walk-in and get a lane, target and axe for an hour for $15 per thrower. Social Axe Throwing staff will talk you throw the safety and techniques first, and then leave you alone to have your fun.

Social Axe Throwing is located at 2236 Washington Blvd. and can be reached at 801-395-2937.
