On Friday, a press release from Ogden City Arts announced 29 recipients of grants for 2025-2026.

“The supported programs and projects work in a wide range of artistic disciplines including the local presentation of theater, dance, music, visual, and literary arts,” the release said. “Those selected are designed to build community, foster cultural conversations, instill entrepreneurial skills in youth, and more. All supported programs and projects will occur in Ogden City.”

Ogden Mayor Ben Nadolski said the grants are a huge help to the city.

“The arts aren’t just culture — they’re opportunity,” he said in the release. “These projects support local talent, strengthen our economy, and make Ogden a destination people are proud to call home. We’re proud to invest in the individuals who help our city thrive.”

Ogden City Marketing and Communication Coordinator Regina Esparza told the Standard-Examiner on Saturday that $160,000 in grants were distributed in two categories — “Project Support Grants” and “General Support Grants.”

“General Support Grants are awarded to arts-based nonprofits only and will support ongoing programming that they produce,” she said. “Project Support Grants are for new and existing arts-based nonprofits as developmental support, individual artists and small businesses providing art activities or art programs for Ogden residents.”
