Youth Impact started in the basement of The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in 1992 in Ogden, and over the past 25 years has grown into an extended family. "You got to pay it forward," said Pete Martinez, who started as a participant and is currently part of the staff as volunteer coordinator. Founded by Robb Hall, the nonprofit serving children and families from Ogden's inner-city neighborhood provides after school programs, transportation, mentoring, food and more to area youth in need of "a safe place to be a kid," Hall said.
